Since 2011, Matthew has been in charge of Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF), a key film co-production market in Asia and one of the flagship events of The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society (HKIFFS). He is now Senior Project Manager of HKIFF Industry, an expanded industry section under HKIFFS that includes the following activities: HAF, Film Lab, a training camp for young Chinese filmmakers and HKIFF Collection, a sales arm that provides distribution and festival placement strategy to emerging and independent filmmakers. He oversees the daily operation of all activities of HKIFF Industry and helps promote its work and initiatives across the region. Prior to his current employment, he has worked in film distribution in the private sector and has worked for the government regulatory agency Communications Authority of Hong Kong. In addition, he has also worked in the fields of investment banking and market research after his graduation of Economics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.

Vineeta is a leading industry curator and market strategist at the forefront of South Asia’s evolving screen industries. She currently heads NFDC Film Bazaar, the region’s premier co-production and project market, where she oversees the curation of the entire market including its various verticals which includes Co-Production Market, Work In Progress Lab, Viewing Room, Screenwriters’ Lab, and industry panels. Her work has been instrumental in launching new voices and connecting South Asian cinema with global producers, sales agents, and festivals. She also leads the programming of WAVES Bazaar, a pioneering cross-sector of Media & Entertainment Industries hosted by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, India. Designed to foster deals and creative exchange across films, TV, Music & AVGC sector. With a background in programming, industry partnerships, and festival market consulting, Vineeta has played a key role in positioning India as a hub for international co-productions and market-led growth. She continues to drive conversations around content innovation, regional storytelling, and global collaboration from South Asia.

Acclaimed independent filmmaker

Leena Yadav is an acclaimed independent filmmaker — writer, producer, and director known for her unwavering commitment to unconventional themes and rich collaborations with international artists. She made her directorial debut with Shabd (2005), starring Aishwarya Rai and Sanjay Dutt, followed by the thriller Teen Patti (2010) with Amitabh Bachchan and Sir Ben Kingsley. Her breakout, Parched (2015), premiered at TIFF, won 31 international awards, and had a historic 43-week theatrical run in France. She followed this with the Netflix Original Rajma Chawal (2018) and the true-crime docu-series House of Secrets — The Burari Deaths (2021), which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Documentary. In 2022, she represented India in the anthology Tell It Like A Woman, alongside directors including Catherine Hardwicke and Taraji P. Henson. Her upcoming projects include Angulimal, Buddha (with Shekhar Kapoor), and Guns and Saris, starring Radhika Apte and Frieda Pinto. She has mentored at The Writers Lab (US) and served on juries at international film festivals worldwide.

Malaika Bova is a film curator and festival programmer with extensive experience across the UK and Europe. She is the former Artistic Director of Raindance Film Festival in London and currently serves as the UK scout and programmer for the Debut Competition at Tallinn Black Nights. She produces From Venice to London, an event held in collaboration with La Biennale di Venezia to showcase a selection of Venice Film Festival titles in the UK. She also curates the Austrian Film Festival in London and a showcase of Italian documentaries in partnership with Cinecittà at Bertha DocHouse.
