Bridgerton announces the show’s next hero – The Dashing Benedict Bridgerton played by Luke Thompson.

Dearest Gentle Reader, Bridgerton season 3 came out only recently in two parts following the story of another Bridgerton Brother, Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, aka the famous author Lady Whistledown from the Regency Era. The show first aired in 2020 an adaptation of the Bridgerton book series by Julia Quinn portraying Daphne and Duke Simon’s story for the first season making the show an instant hit, four years later we have three seasons and one standalone movie and the series has captured the attention of the audience perfectly with its classic romance and literature.

Now, almost one month after the end of season 3, the series officially announces the 4 season and Luke Thompson as the next hero. Anthony and Benedict Bridgerton remained the two most talked about brothers of the Bridgerton family and now it is finally time for Benedict to steal the silver screen.
Audiences are ecstatic about Thompson and his charming presence as the diamond and hero of the season.

Although there are notable changes from the books. In the book, Benedict’s story is the third one that comes. However, in the show, it is fourth in line, and the heroine of the season is not yet revealed. Matters are a little controversial as audiences stick to different kinds of opinions and weave different kinds of theories regarding the speculated Sophie Beckett ( heroine of Benedict’s story from the book). Some audiences are showing visible dissatisfaction with the show as they say, “The show has had enough racial changes to represent communities, but how they’re making it a pattern seems very abnormal.”

Others are speculating Cressida Cowper (a character in the show) as Sophie Beckett and they’re not happy about it. Cressida is sent away to live with her cruel aunt in the third season while Sophie in the book lives with a cruel stepmother whose name is Lady Araminta, and the coincidence is Cressida’s mother from the show shares the same name.
Audiences are hoping to see a new face as Sophie, while they wish Cressida a happy ending of her own although not with the Bridgertons. Now it remains to see what the makers of the show decide to continue with the series.
