Directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad, “Sarfira” starring the legend of inspirational films Akshay Kumar, was released on 12th of July 2024 in cinemas. The official trailer was dropped on the web about a month ago and while some were heavily anticipating Akshay on the silver screen playing the character of Vir Mhatre, we can not say the trailer was showered with positive response.
As the new movie is a visible remake of Surya’s award-winning Tamil film “ Soorarai Pottru” or “ Udaan,“ where audiences who were highly satisfied by Surya’s performance were a bit sceptical about how the new movie will do in the theatres and what will be the overall performance.
A month later – now the movie released in the cinemas didn’t seem to do well at the box office. The movie shares the same plot as the Tamil film showing the aspiring dream of a man who wants to run a business in aviation and make the aviation industry cost-friendly for all groups of people. While he thrives to achieve his dreams the path is filled with rocks and isn’t easy at all. Our hero Akshay Kumar, did an amazing job with the acting and gave one of the best performances of his career but as far as the movie is concerned audiences continue to think that it is an unnecessary remake and doesn’t come near the original award-winning “Udaan” which makes “Sarfira” miserably fail in the Box office.
