SIT BACK, KALKI 2898AD just dropped off a banger- its very first trailer on 10th June. Up until now, we’ve witnessed many little clips by the production house which included a teaser, character introduction and animated series named – Bujji and Bhairava. This is the very first time we get to see a prominent glimpse of where the story might lead up to.
As much as people were crazy about the upcoming film’s short glimpses all over the internet the trailer just exceeded the anticipation a few steps higher. With the sighting of its immaculate VFX which was up until now had been a very rarely perfect thing in Indian cinemas. Also who can deny the action sequence that we get to see in this 3-minute
clip? It is so perfectly well-synced with the background music and the ambience of the trailer that it is very hard to take our eyes off it. The trailer also dropped an interesting climax by showing the very speculated Kamal Hassan in the last scene. Obviously with the new trailer comes a lot of unanswered questions as well as crazy fan theories analysing the plot with whatever we have on our plate for now. Some of our readers have crazy theories coming up, let us see what they have to say about the upcoming movie.
When asked about the identity or speculation about who’ll be Kalki, Mr Pratik Mittra one of our regular readers replied with an interesting theory. He has to say that maybe Kalki is none other than the baby that Deepika Padukone’s character seems to carry in the clip. To justify his statement the gentleman remarked that we’ve not seen any clip of Padukone in the movie except in a single glimpse and posters however
within the trailer we see very important detailings about the character such as Bachan who is playing Ashwatthama trying to protect Padukone and the character’s unborn baby, while on the other hand, Saswata Chakraborty’s character asks Bhairava Aka Prabhas to bring him some lady. Although we’re not sure about who the lady is, the very little screen time of such an amazing and talented actress is somewhat shady if not with any motive.
Another one of our readers- Mr Arka Dutta thinks of an entirely bizarre concept which is “Kalki is only a concept and not an actual person” Yes you read it right. It is only a concept or rather a revolution thinks Mr Dutta, from his perspective giving the audience a chance to expect Kalki as one mythological figure might be too straightforward. Given the concept of the movie, the makers may deceive the audience into believing such a simple climax while carrying it out in a most unexpected way.
Mr Dutta also anticipates this isn’t gonna be the only movie in this particular cinematic universe, and maybe if it meets the demands of the audience there are a lot more to see. And we as the audience would highly appreciate it if it is that way.
Although these kinds of theories are very engaging and interesting to follow it makes us still wonder what we would get to witness. Let us follow and wait together until we discover the truth behind the era of 2898 AD.
